As you can tell from our latest and lack of posts, our little family has been on the move for the past few months. In February Jayson did an externship with his brother in Idaho and in March he did another externship with the RDEP program in Utah. Savannah and I were happy to tag along for another 2 week adventure and enjoyed our time relaxing, shopping, eating out, and of course playing with puppies and cousins.
Luckily for us, Jayson's mom took pity on my large self and bought us plane tickets this time, which we happily accepted after the 41 hours we spent in the car last month. We had a smooth, 2-hour direct flight into SLC. We spent the first weekend with Jayson's family in Centerville. It was so fun to see Mammy and Papa (as Savannah refers to them.) The first Sunday was fast Sunday in the Clark's ward and it must have made an impression on Savannah because while we were finishing dinner she walked up to the window opener and started blabbing into it and then finished with a clear "amen." Apparently she thought the opener was a microphone and now was a good time to bear her testimony. Needless to say, we got a pretty big kick out of it.
For the RDEP externship, Jayson was able to work at a dental clinic that is run by the University of Utah in Holladay. The clinic offered 70% off dental work to any patients that would be willing to have a student work on them. Jayson was able to have a full schedule every day and work 4x faster than he is able to at school. He loved it! He came home every day raving about what he was able to do and how quickly he was able to do it.
We spent the weekdays with my family in Sandy, so Jayson was closer to the clinic. Savannah and I had a lot of fun spending time with Michael, who was home on Spring Break from USU. We were also able to go to some of Andrew and Stephen's soccer games. Savannah loved spending time with everyone and every morning she would rattle off a list of names, asking where they were, and I would go through the list explaining that everyone was either at work or school.
We spent the other weekend at the Clark's along with Natalie's cute family and our sister in law Carie, who was in from California. It was quite a party at the Clark's and Savannah could not have been happier to play with all of her cousins. In fact, she wanted nothing to do with me or Jayson while we were there. She was happy to have her older cousins tote her around (which made me a little nervous, but we all survived.)
Savannah and I also went to the Dinosaur museum and the Aquarium with Jen and her girls, and my mom. It was really fun, minus the tantrums Savannah threw. Savannah loves her cousins so much. It was so cute to see them together, and there is nothing like getting together and spending time with my sister.
We love our families so much and are so grateful we got to spend so much time with them lately. We are happy to be back to NE in our own little home and with our dear friends. We are staying put for the next little while and are getting ready for baby girl #2 to join our family within the next month!
Puppy Time
Savannah had to be constantly watched around these little puppies,
because she loved to pick them up and give them a big smooch on the mouth.
Dino Museum at Thanksgiving Point
Living Planet Aquarium
Eating treats with Mimi
Savannah and Serelle watching a movie on the iPad
I made Andrew a "Score Cake" because he scored 3 goals in his soccer game that day!
Grandma Katie's 82nd Birthday Party!
