Fun Weekend!

We just had one of those weekends that was super great.
Spending some good quality family time together

Friday: The Dilles invited us to Roaring Springs

These two twinners had a blast and were so brave to go down the water slide!
I know Savannah was nervous (she is a bit like her mom), so I was very proud of her.

Hard to get a good shot of both of them at once

This little squish LOVED the water! We could not get her out. She throughly enjoyed the water slide, the lazy river and of course, drinking mom's soda :)

Jayson and I went on what looked like the "safer" water slide and it was a bit scary for me. Fun, but a bit scary. He then went on the "scary" ride (that I didn't want to go on) with Bryan and came back laughing, saying that I chose the scarier ride and then the second one he went on was not that bad.

Saturday: Jayson participated in a softball tournament with some guys from our neighborhood. They won the first game, but lost the second and third. Jayson played great and even slid home on the last play of the last game. I swear he was safe, but the ref said otherwise.
He had a great time playing with the guys and the girls and I found some shade and made some good friends.

 This picture cracks me up!
Savannah has been really into horses lately. She loves the movie Spirit and gallops around the house on all fours neighing. She also rears on her hind legs for the real deal. In this picture she is in the middle of rearing up and neighing for the camera.
So, although it looks like she is trying to get away from Jayson, she is just showing us her excitement via a horse.  Haha!

It was Savannah's lucky night because we got to see another horse, a big one!
Jayson and I took the girls downtown to go out to dinner as a family (something we rarely do).
We talked about using good manners on the way there and both girls were great!

Overall, it was just such a fun couple of days with this wonderful family I have been blessed with. I love them all so much!

Happy 4th of July!

We are so grateful to live in this beautiful country!
We are truly blessed with so many freedoms and are so thankful for all those who serve our country.
We celebrated this great day in Melba, ID again this year.

The parade was a hit with tons of candy and we got an up-close experience with some horses.

So fun to have our friends the Dilles there

Savannah and Sorelle on the train ride

Savannah was sooo excited to get a horse painted on her face...
until...

she saw that Sorelle had a princess crown

so we had to have a redo

Probably the best part of the carnival was that Mike let Ace participate in the "chicken run" where kids got to run around and chase chickens. Little did Mike know, that when the kids caught the chickens, they got to keep them :)  Somehow Belli snuck in there and grabbed a chicken too.
Luckily, there were two nice Melba ladies who already had chickens and were willing to adopt these two as well.

Look Who's Big

This little love has decided that she is no longer a baby.
She is constantly trying to join in play with big sister and loves helping the hungry babies at our house.

She is also much too big to be fed by mother.
At 14 months she is capable of feeding herself (almost)

We are officially off and walking!
I am happy for her, but a little sad for me that my baby is growing up.
It is the cutest little high-step and she is so proud of herself. She comes crashing into my arms with the biggest smile on her face.
(a little blurry, but it captured her joy perfectly!)

She is into copying everything that anyone says and is learning more words every day.

We sure love you baby (big) girl!

Poor Baby got hand, foot and mouth last week. It is an awful virus that caused her to have large sores all over her legs, feet, arms, hands and mouth.  She was pretty miserable for a few days and didn't want to eat anything because of the sores in her mouth. After a few days she was her happy self again, but I quarantined us to the house for a solid week with no outings and friends- whew, it was a long week!
She is much better but still has a few lingering sores that are healing up.
(I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of her hands or feet- they were awful!)

Amazingly enough, big sister didn't get the virus.

Sleeping Beauty
This little lady got out of bed and was put back, but then apparently got out again.
She found a perfect spot, but just got too tired.
So glad we checked on her before we went to bed for the night!

Brave

I have been very excited to take Savannah to see the new Disney movie Brave. The day it opened we went on a special mother-daughter date to see it. The Dille girls joined in on the fun too!  Savannah did not move a muscle during the movie. She was glued. Even when it got a little scary, she was super brave!

Cute Brooklyn wanted to join in our family photo

Dunk the Doctors!

All About You Dental had their 2nd Annual Dunk the Doctors last Saturday. It was a great turn out with almost twice the amount of people as last year.  The event was very well organized and it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There was the ever-popular dunk tank, fresh off the grill hot dogs, snow cone machine, face painting, a bounce house, and a balloonist. I was planning on only making an appearance, but the girls were great, so we ended up being some of the last to leave :)
