Some Firsts

First Time Ever
Savannah fell asleep anywhere
besides her crib or car seat...

First Time in the Bumbo

for Sophie at least...

First Time to the Community Pool

 Savannah and Cousin Ray

Unfortunately our first experience was not great.
Savannah walked right into the deep end of the pool
Mom got to go swimming with clothes on :)
The next day a life jacket was purchased.

Miss 2 Months!

Miss Sophie had her 2 month check up with the doctor today.
She weighed in at 14 lbs. and 5 oz. (89th percentile)
She was measured at 25 in. long (98th percentile)
and her head was 16 in. (90th percentile)

At the ripe old age of 2 months Sophie is...

chubby - as you can tell by her stats
(she is so chubby that we have to be extra careful when we give her baths to wash in between her neck(s). Otherwise, milk gets caught and goes sour. It is cute and stinky at the same time.)
smiling with her twinkly eyes
telling big stories by cooing
laughing (only for mom)
nursing like a champion approx. every 3-4 hours
sleeping 6-8 hours every night
still sleeping in her bassinet in our closet

Jayson is convinced that Sophie has eyes only for her momma

We are so delighted that this little girl is in our family.

What a joy!

Happy 4th!

It took a special baby to bring the whole Clark family together for a weekend, a weekend which happened to be the 4th of July. It was really fun to be together for a few days and celebrate baby Maree and the holiday together.  We enjoyed JumpTime, parks, swimming pools, a small town parade, lots of great food, *girl time, guy time, BBQ's and of course fireworks.
*Ever since I have known the Clark's they do "girl time" which consists of the men watching the kids and the girls doing something and guy time is just the opposite. The guy time this trip was of course golfing. The girl time was visiting with Jannie and a late night dinner at a restaurant. When I was first a part of the family, I wanted to be with Jayson 24/7 and was unsure of the girl time, but now that I am no longer a newlywed and I have gotten to know my lovely sister-in-laws, I love girl time! It is so much fun to talk and talk over lots of yummy desserts (thank you Coleen.)

Savannah enjoyed this parade much better than the last, but still didn't want out of her stroller
I think she felt a little more secure.
She quite enjoyed all the candy that her cousins gave her

Jayson and his brother Greg enjoying a hot dog that was thrown from the parade.
No joke.
There was a float that had a grill and was throwing out hot dogs.

This yummy baby was so good, even though the temperature was a little warm for her liking

This lovely lady found some shade
Jayson walked right up to her and took her picture
Only in Melba, ID

Savannah had a great time waving her flag while the older cousins did fireworks.
She even marched in time to some patriotic music.
We sure feel blessed to live in this beautiful country and are so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy.

Wedding Bells and Soccer Balls

I know that is a silly title, but I didn't know how else to incorporate these two events. The girls and I headed to UT (once again) for my darling cousin's wedding. It was really fun to get together for a few days with family and friends.

Michael showing my dad and Savannah stupid videos on youtube

Serelle and Savannah taking one last bike ride at Midtown while we helped Jen and Kylan pack up

J and A threw the most fabulous Street Party (instead of the traditional reception)
There was a live band (what Savannah is listening to most intently)
photo booth
blow up obstacle course
burritos
homemade salsa and guac
balloons

 Sunday naps

After the wedding, my mom drove back up to Boise with me to watch Andrew play in a soccer tournament. It was really fun to have company for a few days.
Jen so kindly lent me her bumbo for Miss Sophie when she is ready...
looks like big sis is just trying it out

Andrew the baby whisperer

When it was a little too quiet, this is how we found Savannah.
I sure love this girl
