January

January brought big changes for our little Miss Sophie! She started asking to have sleepovers with her big sister and didn't want to be in a crib anymore.  The sleepovers were only successful 1 in 5 times so we decided to let her sleep in the room next door to Savannah and turn the guest room into Sophie's big girl room.  As soon as the room was painted and decorated Sophie was anxious to move in.  She loves her new room and has slept great in her queen size bed :)

We also decided it was time to potty train! Sophie did great and it really only took a week of being house bound until she figured it out.  I sure loved watching her cute undie-bum waltz around the house.

One of our Christmas presents to the grandparents was letting them know that there would be another baby joining our family in August.  In January we got our first good glimpse of baby #3 and we were all smitten immediately! The girls are so excited to be big sisters and love telling everyone that there is a baby in mom's tummy.

The girls got to join us on a grown up date one weekend with 2 other couples.  They used their best manners and were so excited to find out that there were games in the restaurant.  The big boys had a lot of fun trying to earn as many tickets as possible to buy Savannah and Sophie a prize.

The girls each got a unicorn and Savannah got this huge dog she named "Fluffy"
-she still sleeps with fluffy every night-

We pulled out a bag of hand me downs from cousins and the girls loved trying on all the new clothes

Since mom was dealing with morning sickness, the girls got away with a few things they probably normally wouldn't have. Like going to the gas station to get treats in jammies and princess costumes at 9pm.

January was awfully cold and dark, so we did lots of puzzles and went to a few movies.

We went and saw Frozen for the 5th time- this time it was the sing along, which was pretty hilarious to watch all these little girls do the actions and sing all the songs.
