December

Savannah and I headed to Utah on December 10th and didn't come home until January 7th! We were gone for almost a whole month visiting family and friends. Jayson came a week after us, just in time to celebrate his birthday with his family. We did Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family and then the annual 3 day cabin retreat with the Clarks. It was so wonderful to spend time with our families. I just love the holidays! I love cooking with my mom and sister, shopping with my mother in law, watching football with Jayson, staying up late laughing, and watching all the babies play together. I am so grateful to have such a fabulous family and I love them all sooo much!

Jen and I bundled up the babies and walked to our friend's house.

My neighborhood friends. It was so fun to see them. All four of us had babies in 2009
Youngest to oldest. Gavin 3 mo, Savannah 4 mo, Kate 8 mo, Serelle 9 mo.

Christmas Morning
Savannah figured out how to suck her thumb! Liliahna with her "dollahouse"

Best Gift Ever

Our holidays turned a little scary when Liliahna (my sister's 3 yr old) was diagnosed with pneumonia the Sunday after Christmas. She spent a few days at Utah Valley hospital in Provo and then was sent to Primary Childrens on the 31st of Dec. Once at PC she was given a chest tube to try and drain infected fluid which was in between her lung and chest wall. The doctors decided surgery would be more effective and so Tuesday the 5th Lili had surgery to remove the remaining infection which had turned from liquid to a gelatinous consistency. She also had to have a feeding tube and supplemental oxygen. It just made our families realize how lucky we have been to have such good health. It was so sad to see such a tiny person hooked up to all of those machines. Luckily now, Lili is doing better and they are returning home today! It will still be a while before she is back to her normal darling self, we sure can't wait for her to be shaking her booty again soon :)

A good day at Primary Children's
