January thus far....

During this cold yucky month we have been staying mostly busy....

We had our first winter storm with 6 in. of snow! I about broke my back trying to shovel the dang driveway (with a borrowed shovel, since we don't have one yet) only to wake up the next morning to the snow you see in the above picture. Seriously.
Jayson jumped out of bed in the morning (literally) saying that he had to make a snowman because he promised Savannah last night.  It took all of the snow we had on our lawn... but he made two very fine snowmen.
Savannah was thrilled!
It was one of those moments where my heart just swelled watching how much my husband loves his little girls and how much I love him for loving them (and me of course.)

Although we have tried to make the most of this month, it is not our favorite, and we will not be sorry to say goodbye next week.  February brings many exciting things. Valentines Day, my birthday and most importantly it is one month closer to being warm. (However, I should not complain. This has been the most mild winter I have seen in years.)
